Acrylic, oil and tape on cradled board by painter Shanna Bruschi (San Anselmo, CA). Palette is austere: near-black dominates, with electric cobalt and exposed sandy ground providing stark contrast. Surface texture is pronounced — ridged, scraped, and gestural throughout. Mood is dramatic and contemplative, with strong architectural presence. Characteristic of Bruschi's process-driven, physically built abstract oils.
